Pear & Apple Apple tart

We love sharing this USA Pears & Cosmic Crisp Apple tart, no matter the holiday!

Ingredients

    • 320 g
      ready-rolled puff pastry
    • 3 Tbsp
      apricot/peach jam
    • 2
      thinly sliced U.S. apples
    • 2
      thinly sliced U.S. Pears
    • 1
      U.S. lemon (Juiced)
    • 50 g
      ground U.S. almonds
    • 1 tsp
      ground cinnamon
    • 2 Tbsp
      brown sugar
    • 1 Tbsp
      35% cream

Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place puff pastry on a lined baking sheet or in a pie dish.
    2. Spoon jam into the pastry and spread evenly, leaving a 1cm border.
    3. In a bowl, mix the apples, pears and lemon juice.
    4. Combine the ground almonds and ground cinnamon in a small bowl, then sprinkle evenly over the centre of the pastry. Top with the apple and pear mixture.
    5. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
    6. Fold the border over. Using a pastry brush, evenly apply cream to the edges.
    7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
Notes

This recipe makes two pies, so evenly divide the ingredients.
