Ingredients

      Natural Delights Medjool dates (pitted), sliced in half
    • 16
      California Walnuts (halves)
    • 1
      Cosmic Crisp® Apple, cut into 16 wedges
    • ¼ cup
      Dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prep the Dates

    1. Slice each pitted Medjool date in half lengthwise (16 slices).

  2. Melt the Chocolate

    1. Place the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.

    2. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.

  3. Assemble the Date & Walnut Bites

    1. Using a small spoon, carefully place a small dollop of melted chocolate into the cavity of each date half.

    2. Top each date half with a California walnut half.

    3. Place the assembled date and walnut bites on a plate to set.

  4. Prepare the Apple Wedges

    1. Slice the apple into 8 wedges (you can also use an apple slicer).

    2. Then cut each wedge in half widthwise to create 16 smaller, bite-sized quarter wedges, one to accompany each date and walnut bite.

  5. To Serve

    1. Arrange the delicious date and walnut bites on a plate alongside the Cosmic Crisp® apple wedges.

  6. Tips

    1. To make this recipe ahead of time, store the assembled date and walnut bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Slice Cosmic Crisp® apple on the serving day.
