Spiced Tea Punch

Ingredients

    • 1 cup
      250 mL Florida Crystals certified organic sugar
    • 4
      lemons
    • 2
      oranges
    • 12
      whole cloves
    • 3
      cinnamon sticks
    • 1 ½ quarts
      1.5 L strong brewed tea
    • 2 cups
      500 mL water
    • 32 oz
      1 L ginger ale
    • 2 ½ cups
      625 mL light rum, optional

Instructions

    1. In a non-aluminum saucepan, combine all ingredients except soda. Over low heat, bring to boil, stirring to bruise fruit. Cool 1 to 2 hours.
    2. To serve, combine with ice in pitcher or punch bowl. Add ginger ale and rum (if desired).
