3Golden Delicious apples, or any variety of your choice

1can evaporated milk, 12 oz/354 mL

1can sweetened condensed milk, 5 oz/147 mL

3 oz(90 mL) rum, brandy, hard cider (or regular cider for non-alcoholic version)

Vanilla ice cream, to thicken

Apple Cups

Four large apples of your favourite variety

Juice of one lemon

4Maraschino cherries for garnish, optional

Instructions

Frappé
-
Wash, peel, core and cut the apples into quarters. Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend with enough ice cream to obtain desired thickness.

Apple Cups
-
Cut the tops off of 4 large apples. Hollow out the inside, leaving a ½ inch (1 cm) thick shell.

Brush the inside with lemon juice to prevent browning. Pour frappé into apple cups, garnish each with a maraschino cherry (optional) and serve immediately.
